We write research questions with your product leads, choose the method that answers them (interviews, diary studies, surveys, field observation, concept tests) and recruit participants from your customer base or a panel. Sessions are run by a senior researcher and recorded with consent. AI transcribes and clusters the notes into candidate themes; the researcher validates each theme against the recordings and discards the ones the evidence does not support. What do UX research services include?
Research planning, participant recruitment, moderated interviews and other studies, synthesis into themes, personas and journey maps, and a readout with recommendations. Devoq Design can run a single study or a continuous discovery program, with a senior researcher leading every session and AI handling transcription and clustering.
How is UX research different from a UX audit?
An audit is an expert review of your existing product using heuristics and analytics. UX research generates new evidence by talking to and observing real users. Audits tell you what is broken; research tells you what people need. We offer both and often sequence them.
How do you recruit participants?
From your customer base when the questions are about existing users, and from research panels when you need prospects or a new segment. We write the screener, schedule sessions, handle consent and incentives, and keep the sample balanced across the roles that matter.
How much does UX research cost?
It depends on the number of studies, participants per study, recruitment difficulty, and whether you want a one-off project or an ongoing program. We scope a fixed price for a defined study and a monthly retainer for continuous discovery after a short call.
How do you use AI in UX research?
AI transcribes sessions, clusters notes and quotes into candidate themes, and drafts summaries. A senior researcher validates every theme against the recordings and writes the conclusions. Participant data stays in your tools, and we do not send recordings to AI services without a written agreement.
Can a researcher work inside our product team?
Yes. Through the hire a UX researcher lane, a senior researcher joins your squad on a monthly basis, attends planning, runs continuous discovery and maintains the insight repository, with the rest of Devoq Design available for design and build work when findings need acting on.
Who owns the code, the design files and the accounts?
You do, from the first week. Figma, GitHub, CMS and hosting accounts are created under your company, and the contract assigns the IP to you. There is nothing to hand back at the end because it was always yours.
How do you charge: fixed price, monthly retainer or dedicated team?
All three, depending on the shape of the work. A fixed price when the scope is clear, a monthly retainer when the work keeps evolving, and a dedicated designer or engineer pair when you want capacity inside your own team. We recommend one after a short discovery call.
Do you work with companies in the US, UK, Canada or Australia?
Yes, most of our clients are there. Devoq Design has teams in India, Canada and the US, so every project has overlapping hours for reviews and stand-ups. Everything else runs async with recorded walkthroughs, decision logs and written updates in your Slack or Teams.
