What do your usability testing services include?

How much does usability testing cost?

It depends on the number of sessions, whether they are moderated or unmoderated, how specialized the participants are, how many flows are in scope and whether prototypes need preparing. We quote a fixed price per round after a short call.

Moderated or unmoderated usability testing: which do we need?

Moderated sessions give depth: a researcher can ask why a participant hesitated. Unmoderated tests give breadth and speed across more participants. Most engagements combine a small moderated round with a larger unmoderated one; we recommend the mix for your question.

Who are the participants and how do you recruit them?

People who match your customers: existing users where possible, or panel participants screened against criteria we agree with you, such as role, experience and device. We never rely on whoever is available, because the wrong participants produce confident but wrong findings.

Can you test a Figma prototype before we build it?

Yes, and it is the cheapest time to test. We prepare the prototype so tasks can be completed realistically, run sessions exactly as we would on a live product and report what to change before engineering begins.

How is AI used in your usability testing?

AI tools transcribe sessions, flag moments where participants paused, backtracked or failed a task, and cluster similar observations across sessions. Researchers watch every flagged clip, confirm or discard the issue, rate its severity and write the recommendation. Participants are always real people.

Who owns the code, the design files and the accounts?

You do, from the first week. Figma, GitHub, CMS and hosting accounts are created under your company, and the contract assigns the IP to you. There is nothing to hand back at the end because it was always yours.

How do you charge: fixed price, monthly retainer or dedicated team?

All three, depending on the shape of the work. A fixed price when the scope is clear, a monthly retainer when the work keeps evolving, and a dedicated designer or engineer pair when you want capacity inside your own team. We recommend one after a short discovery call.

Do you work with companies in the US, UK, Canada or Australia?

Yes, most of our clients are there. Devoq Design has teams in India, Canada and the US, so every project has overlapping hours for reviews and stand-ups. Everything else runs async with recorded walkthroughs, decision logs and written updates in your Slack or Teams.
