Listings, property management and PropTech platforms

Real Estate and PropTech UI/UX Design Services

Devoq Design designs property products that buyers, renters, agents and landlords can use without a walkthrough: listing portals, agent websites, property management platforms, tenant and owner apps, valuation tools. Research-led and accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA, with AI used to speed first drafts and senior designers deciding what ships.

Property products that earn the inquiry, the viewing and the signature

Real estate software loses people at predictable points. A renter on a train narrows a search to two bedrooms under budget and the filter quietly hides the three homes she would have booked, because the feed stores bedrooms as text. A buyer standing outside a house opens the listing and waits while twenty full-size photos load before the price appears. A tenant reporting a burst pipe at midnight gives up on the fifth screen of a maintenance form. An owner opens the portal to see where this month's rent went and finds a statement that only an accountant could read. Each of these is a design failure before it is a technical one, and each costs a lead, a renewal or a referral. We design for the people on both sides of the transaction. That means interviewing buyers, renters, agents and property managers first, then mapping search, inquiry, viewing, application and payment flows around how they actually decide, with the data your MLS, IDX or management system can really supply. Whether you run a brokerage, a rental platform, a property management company or a PropTech startup, we deliver interfaces your users trust and your engineers can build.

Features/Why Choose Us

Real estate UI/UX design by Devoq Design covers the parts that decide whether a lead turns into a tenancy or a sale:
Buyers rarely search the way a database expects. They start with a school, a commute or a feeling about a street, then trade bedrooms for budget. We design filters, map and list views, saved searches and alerts around that narrowing, keep the most used controls under the thumb and make empty results suggest the nearest match rather than a blank page.
Listing templates, filters and messaging are drawn with US fair housing rules in mind, and screening and application steps follow the same sequence for every applicant. A good flow asks the same questions in the same order of everyone; a bad one lets an agent improvise, which creates risk for the brokerage and distrust for the applicant.
Before drawing a listing card or a filter we check what the feed, the IDX display rules and your CRM actually supply, how often it refreshes and which fields are often empty. Designs that assume perfect data ship with blank cards and broken filters; designs that respect the real data degrade gracefully and keep engineers out of late rework.
Valuation estimates, lead scoring and drafted replies are shown with their basis, a range where one exists and an easy human override, never as unexplained verdicts. An agent should be able to see why a lead was ranked first, edit a drafted reply in one tap and tell a seller exactly where an indicative value came from.

Approach Section

Our Approach to Real Estate UI/UX Services

Discovery and Research

01

Interviews with buyers, renters, agents and property managers, a review of your analytics and inquiry data, and a scan of the portals your users already compare you with. We also sit with your back office to learn which steps are manual today, because those are usually the ones the interface has to absorb.

Wireframes and Prototypes

02

Clickable flows for search, listing detail, inquiry, viewing booking, application and rent payment, drawn against the real fields your feed and CRM provide. Each flow is tested before any visual design, so the sequence of questions and the handling of missing data are settled early.

UI Design

03

A confident visual system built around photography and maps, with accessible color and type and states for every component: loading, empty, error and offline. Listing imagery leads, interface chrome stays quiet, and the same components serve a portal, an owner dashboard and an agent tool.

Usability Testing

04

Task-based sessions where real buyers find a home that fits a brief, renters book a viewing and residents report a repair with a photo, on their own phones. We watch for hesitation at filters, forms and payment, then fix what we see before handoff.

Handoff and Optimization

05

Developer-ready files, documented design system tokens and annotations for feed, CRM and payment integrations, then improvements guided by search, inquiry, application and payment data after launch, reviewed with your team on an agreed cadence.

Why Devoq Design?

element 01
We make the collaboration of people and interface more intensive and exciting.

Experienced Property Designers

Portals, agent sites and management platforms designed with the whole transaction in mind, not just the homepage, so the inquiry, the application and the renewal are drawn with the same care as the hero.

Conversion Through Clarity

Every screen is measured by whether a visitor can reach an inquiry, a viewing or an application without help. We cut the steps that exist for the back office and move them behind the moment the user has committed.

Trust in Every Detail

Clear fees, honest photo treatment, visible availability and plain-language terms that reduce second guessing, because a renter who feels misled on the listing will not trust the application either.

Two-Sided Thinking

Interfaces that serve renters and landlords, or buyers and agents, in the same product without favoring one. Each side gets the information it needs at the moment it needs it, from the same components and data.

Built to Integrate

Designs that account for MLS and IDX feeds, CRMs, payments, e-signature, accounting and maintenance systems from the first wireframe, with each integration point annotated so engineers know what the screen expects.

AI Speed, Senior Review

AI helps us produce layouts, copy and research summaries roughly 5x faster, and a senior designer reviews every screen before it reaches you, so the speed shows up in your timeline, not in your quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does real estate UI/UX design include?
User research with buyers, renters, agents and managers, journey mapping, wireframes and clickable prototypes, visual design, a design system, accessibility checks to WCAG 2.2 AA and developer handoff. It covers listing portals, agent websites, property management platforms and tenant, owner and buyer apps. Where you need it, we also design the back-office screens that agents and managers use, since a slow admin tool quietly slows the customer side too.
Do you design for MLS and IDX integrations?
Yes. We confirm what your feed and display rules allow before drawing anything: which fields arrive, how often they refresh, where attribution must appear and which listings may not be shown. Search, listing cards and detail pages are then designed around the fields that are really available, with sensible fallbacks for missing photos or prices, so engineering does not discover gaps late and your compliance team sees attribution in the right place.
Can you redesign our existing property portal or app?
Yes. We begin with a UX audit and a review of search, inquiry and application analytics to find where visitors drop off, then redesign those flows first while keeping the data sources, CRM and back office you already run. A redesign normally ships in stages, starting with search and listing detail, so your team sees results before the whole product changes.
How is AI used in real estate products?
Three examples we design for: instant indicative values from automated valuation models, lead scoring and drafted replies for agents, and maintenance triage for property managers. NAR reported in 2025 that 36% of agents use AI tools weekly, so these features are expected, but each gets a visible basis, a labeled estimate and a human override. We design the review step as carefully as the result.
How do you handle fair housing and privacy?
We design listing language, filters and screening steps to treat every applicant consistently, and we draw consent, data access and deletion into the flows rather than hiding them in a policy page. For UK and European users that means GDPR and UK GDPR, for Australia the Privacy Act. This is design input, not legal advice, so your counsel should review the final product.
How much does real estate UI/UX design cost?
Cost depends on the number of user types, the screens each needs, the integrations involved and whether research and usability testing are included. After a short discovery call we scope a fixed price for a defined product, such as a tenant app or a brokerage portal, or a monthly retainer for a platform that keeps evolving release by release. Both models state what is included so there are no surprises.
What affects how long a project takes?
The number of roles the product serves, the screens behind each, how many systems it talks to and whether research and usability testing are in scope. A single-role tenant app with one payment integration moves quickly; a two-sided portal with MLS, CRM and e-signature takes longer because each integration adds states to design and test. We agree the sequence of releases during discovery.
Who owns the designs and the research?
You do. Figma files, research recordings, prototypes and documentation sit in your own accounts from the first week, and the contract assigns the intellectual property to you from the start. If the engagement ends, nothing needs to be exported or handed back, and any developer can pick up the files with the documentation we leave.
